Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 October 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to your use of Zircel (the app at zircel.app and its installed versions). By creating an account or using Zircel you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Zircel.

2. Who can use Zircel

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.

3. Your content

Your Notes, photos, Circles and other things you add stay yours. You give Zircel permission to store them, show them to the people allowed to see them under your settings (for example the members of a private Circle, everyone signed in for a public Circle, or the people you share a Note with), make copies needed to run the service (such as backups), and process them for the features you use, including AI features. This permission ends when you delete the content, except for copies other people made where you allowed copying, and for backups kept for a short time.

When you delete your account, Notes you wrote in Circles that keep existing stay in those Circles without your name, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You must have the right to share what you add. Do not post other people's private information without their permission.

4. Zircel's own content, and your licence to use Zircel

Zircel itself - its software, design, name, logo, texts, tips, tutorial, Ben's story and the Notes in Ben's Circles and in What You Can Do with Zircel - is protected by copyright and other laws. © 2026 Zircel. All rights reserved.

While you follow these terms, you may use Zircel for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. This is a personal licence: you may not sell it or pass it on, and it ends when you stop using Zircel or your account is closed. You may not copy, change, sell or republish Zircel or its own content, or use the name Zircel or its logo, without written permission. You may copy the "Template:" Notes and duplicate Ben's Circles into your own Circles, as Zircel offers.

5. Other people's content and copyright

Notes and photos added by other people belong to them. You may read them and use them for yourself inside Zircel. You may copy a Note or a Circle into your own Circles only where its author or owner allows copying, and you may not republish other people's content outside Zircel without their permission.

If you believe something in Zircel uses your work without permission, flag the Note, or write to us with Me > Settings > Contact us. Say what the work is and where it appears in Zircel. We will look at it and may remove the content. Accounts that repeatedly post content they have no right to may be closed.

6. What you must not do

  • Break the law, or help someone else break it.
  • Harass, threaten or harm others, or post hateful, sexual, violent or otherwise harmful content.
  • Post content you do not have the rights to, or that misleads people about who you are.
  • Send spam, or create accounts automatically or in bulk.
  • Try to get around privacy settings, access data you are not allowed to see, overload the service or interfere with its security.
  • Copy or collect content from Zircel with automated tools.

7. AI features

Some features can use AI when it is turned on (it is off at the moment), for example search. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check anything important yourself; AI answers are not professional advice.

8. Example content

Ben's Circles and Ben's story are made-up examples. People, places, numbers and tips in them are illustrations, not real recommendations.

9. The service

Zircel is free to use. It is offered as it is and as available: it may change, have interruptions or errors, or stop, and features may be added or removed. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using Zircel and delete your account at any time from Me > Settings > Your data in Zircel.

We may remove content or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others or the service at risk.

What you add to a Circle - Notes, photos, comments, chat messages - becomes part of that Circle once it is saved. If you misuse a Circle or Zircel in any way (for example flooding, spam, advertising or harmful content), the Circle's owner or its moderators, or Zircel, may ban you from that Circle or from Zircel. What you added stays where it is; whether it is removed is up to the Circle's owner or Zircel, not you.

11. Responsibility

As far as the law allows, Zircel is not responsible for content posted by users, for decisions made based on content or AI answers in Zircel, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be changed by agreement, such as consumer protection laws.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app. Using Zircel after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: while signed in, use Me > Settings > Contact us - a private message to the operator. Privacy questions are covered in the Privacy Policy.
